Threadfin Bream

The threadfin breams belong to the family Nemipteridae and are a type of fish found in the tropical waters of the Indian and western Pacific Oceans. They are also known as whiptail breams and false snappers. Most of these fish species are bottom-feeders and carnivores, feeding on small fishes, cephalopods, crustaceans, and polychaetes. However, some species also feed on plankton. They usually inhabit muddy or sandy bottoms and are commonly found between 18 and 33 meters in shallower water. The main season for catching threadfin breams is from September to July, and they are caught by using nets.
